Hey OBS users,
I had my first successful live broadcast using OBS last night. OBS worked like a champ! I used the latest version and used the OpenSuse installer on Fedora 22 MATE edition.
I only had 2 issues. One is that my internet speed kept going up and down, I'm on satellite, so, da! But I think the second one might have been OBS's fault. The video stream was running about 15 to 20 min. behind on YouTube. When I've used the Hangouts app it only runs about 30 to 40 seconds behind. AND... After I finished my 1 hour stream, YouTube only posted the first 38 minutes.
Any tips?!
Thanks guys,
Micah

Were you by any chance dropping a bunch of frames when the Internet speed went lower? I've had tons of issues with my Internet recently and had to lower the kbps down to 1500 to get anything consistent at all (at 720p).
ReplyDeleteHmm. I think I was doing 2500 kbps on 480p. That must have been my problem.
ReplyDeleteMicah Pendleton Here is the latest guide from YouTube that pretty much applies to any streaming service. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2853702?hl=en
