I am not finding a method of selecting an audio input which can "bridge" scenes.

I am not finding a method of selecting an audio input which can "bridge" scenes. I produced a video intro for my broadcast which contained a musical track which played for a few seconds (fading) after the video faded to black. I noted that when upon seeing the video fade and selecting the second scene with live cameras, the scene 1 audio abruptly cut off. I was unable to find a way to include an audio global source which i could keep in all scenes and thereby supply a continuous audio track.
Does anyone have a suggestion to address this issue?

  1. Why doesn't your global audio persist across scenes? Isn't it present in each one?

  2. Terry Leigh Britton I don't have any audio option within my list of Global Sources.  I have Window Capture, Monitor Capture, Image, Image Slide Show, Text, Video Capture Device, Game Capture and Video.  That's it.
I can designate an audio souce within a scene, but that's where I get it cut off upon transitioning between scenes.

  3. Duh! I discovered I needed the DirectShow Audio Plugin. Once I installed that I was able to add it as a global source and add it to all scenes. The music plays continuously through ll scenes.
    Much better.

  4. Yay!!!! I completely forgot that was a plugin I had to add later on - thanks for reminding me, as I am having to re-install all of that stuff with the new computer setup.

  5. I can't believe the things you guys are managing to do so much with the program despite its current lackluster state.  The rewrite will hopefully fix almost all of these minor annoyances, though it's still quite some time off.

  6. Hugh Bailey Well, compared to working with any DOS program (which I've had to do), OBS is a delight! The interface is quite workable for many very cool applications, and gives us access to a lot of power.
