Someone has a good starting point in setting up a steam with YouTube using OBS at Linux? My kbps is very small sometimes, even with a 15mbps connection. My box is a core i7 notebook with 8GB Ram, using ArchLinux

  1. It is the same with Linux as with PC. Set up a YouTube channel, go into Creator Studio, set up a streaming event, paste the stream name into the OBS Broadcast settings, start OBS streaming, watch your YouTube event's Live Control Room page for stream health, start the preview,on YouTube, then start the stream. Hope that gets you going! As you see, most of the setup is at YouTube.

  2. I would try starting out doing 856X480 streams (480p) and move up to 1280X720 (720p), watching the Live Control Room's stream health and OBS' dropped frames reporting to be sure your network can handle it. I do all my music shows at 720p for the stability it offers, and only do 1080p for tutorials.
